Parents As Teachers Group Meetings and Special Events will vary in format, size, topic, and location. The benefits of Group Meetings and Special Events are:

• Enhance parents' knowledge of child development and parenting issues by providing information about parenting skills, parent child interactions, child development, and community resources.
• Provide opportunities for parents to meet together, to share experiences, and support each other.
• Provide structured activities to promote knowledge related to parenting and child development.
• Provide opportunities for parents to observe their children with other children and participate in outings and events in community settings.
